Mrs. Kelli Morgan is not new to our school, but we are happy to welcome her in an official capacity as our Student Success Coordinator! She will provide assistance in the LUOA program for our 8th-12th grade students, with a primary focus on discipleship.
A few words from Mrs. Morgan:
I am so excited to be assisting with discipleship for 8-12th grades this year at FCA! Previously, I was FCA’s librarian, and love being a part of the school! I always leave FCA with my heart full of joy and love!! I have been married to my husband, Jim, for 30 years. We have two daughters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Salguero)and Annie (Miss Annie). We are originally from Huntington, WV, but have lived in Gibsonville for the last 8 years. I live on a horse farm with lots of animals. They are my other family members! Outside of school, I like to spend time doing anything with my family, gardening, DIY projects, and being outdoors. I graduated from Sweet Briar college with a Bachelor’s and UNCG with my Master’s degree. Working at FCA is a blessing! I love to see God work in the lives of the students and to watch them grow in faith and their relationship with the Lord!
My favorite Bible verses are Luke 10:27:
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind;’ and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Please welcome Mrs. Natalie Pickett, our new second grade teacher, to the FCA team! She brings a wealth of experience, and we are so excited to have her join us. Mrs. Pickett says, "I am very excited and proud to be joining the Freedom Christian Academy family and community! I believe that FCA wants to teach their students about a loving God and provide an excellent learning opportunity so that they can lead happy and productive Christian lives. I am a retired educator with more than 30 years of teaching experience. I have degrees in education from UNC-CH and UNC-G. I have spent most of my life living in Alamance County. My husband and I have two children and we live in the southern part of Alamance County. One of my favorite passages in the Bible is Psalm 23. My favorite verses relating to teaching children comes from Proverbs 3:5-6 ("Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight"), Colossians 3:12 ("Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience"), and Colossians 3:17 (And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him"). I am looking forward to meeting you and working with your children!

Rounding out our first grade team is a familiar face at FCA! We are pleased to introduce Mrs. Yobaira Gassenmeyer as our new first grade teacher assistant. She says, "I’m excited to be joining the Freedom Christian Academy family and look forward to building meaningful relationships with the students and their families. I have a strong background in customer service and operations, and I love creating welcoming, supportive environments where children can learn, grow, and feel valued. I’m passionate about helping others and making a positive impact each day."

📣 We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Brandy Williams as a new first grade teacher!
Her words:
I am so excited and grateful to be joining the FCA family and to witness how God is truly moving within this school. Teaching is a calling God placed on my heart, and serving in a Christ-centered environment is such a blessing. I graduated from UNCG with my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. After teaching in Rockingham County for the last 4 years, God led my family and me back home to Burlington, where I was born and raised. I am a proud mom to two beautiful children—Everleigh (7) and Brodie (3), who has autism—and they shape my heart for patience, compassion, and seeing every child as wonderfully made. My favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 13:8- “Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever." I can’t wait to walk alongside my students and families as we grow and learn this year.

A few words from Mrs. Paschal:
My name is Heather Paschal. I have been teaching in public school for the last 9 years. My husband is Thomas, but I call him TJ. We have 2 boys, Trenton who is 9 and Walker is 3. We are so excited to join the Freedom family. This has been something my husband and I have been praying about for the last couple years. I am excited to help children learn not only academically but in Jesus. My favorite Bible verse is "When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.'' Isaiah 60:22.
