Man stands with family

Our Eagle family has grown by leaps and bounds over the summer! We look forward to welcoming our new and returning families in just a couple of weeks. When we reflect on our tremendous first year, we see God's hands at work shaping Freedom Christian Academy into HIS school made for HIS holy purpose. Our faculty and staff who stepped out in faith helped build an environment full of love, faith, and learning. They showed our students what it meant to walk with Jesus every day!

As enrollment opened in January for the 2025/2026 school year, our administrators quickly realized that additional staff would be needed to support our growing student body. We sought out candidates who had strong pedagogical skills, but most importantly, those who had a desire to share Christ and commit to educating students from a Christian worldview. Mr. Steve Moore is one of our new faculty members and we are thrilled that he accepted the call to join us as our 5th and 6th grade science and math teacher.

Mr. Moore's reputation is strong in our community. He is a well-loved, seasoned teacher. Take a moment to read his words: I am a retired teacher from Alamance Burlington Schools.  I worked as a math teacher, football coach, volleyball coach, and hunter safety coach during my time at Southern Middle School.  In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, carpentry, and woodworking.  But most of all I enjoy spending time with my family.  I am very excited about joining the Freedom Christian Family as a teacher.  I believe that God has called me to Freedom Christian for a reason and I can't wait to see how this next chapter of my life will unfold.  While there are many bible verses that I love, the one that has been by my side throughout my life is Philippians 4:13.  I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.   I look forward to a great year with the staff and students of Freedom.  Go Eagles!!

Welcome to Freedom, Mr. Moore!
